Saudi Arabia Allows Hayya Card Holders for the Qatar World Cup to Visit the kingdom

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia would grant entry to anybody who has the Hayya Card, which was given out by Qatar to football enthusiasts traveling to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Holders of a Hayya Card are permitted to stay in the kingdom for up to 60 days between November 1 and January 23, 2019, during the World Cup.

After receiving an electronic visa through the kingdom’s single national platform for visas, they will be able to enter Saudi Arabia exactly 10 days before the World Cup in Qatar begins. Visa holders must obtain health insurance before entering the kingdom.

According to the ministry, holders of Hayya Cards are permitted multiple entries and exits within the kingdom over the duration of their visas and are not obliged to first visit Qatar. For football fans who want to go to games, the Hayya Card will act as their entry visa to Qatar during the World Cup. According to Saeed Al Kuwari, executive director of Hayya, “Fans from all over the world, including GCC nationals, will not be allowed to enter Qatar without a Hayya Card during the tournament.”
