When did the Under-19 World Cup begin?

The first ICC Under-19 World Cup was held in Australia in 1988, and the event returned in South Africa in 1998.

India beat England by 100 runs in the 2026 final at Harare Sports Club and extended its record to six titles.

The ICC’s tournament report identifies the 2026 victory as India’s record-extending sixth crown. Its separate finals report also records Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 175 in the final, the highest individual score in an U19 World Cup final.
