Pakistan vs Bangladesh Cricket: Results & Head-to-Head

Data checked 28 August 2026

There is no confirmed next Pakistan vs Bangladesh senior men’s match as of 28 August 2026. Bangladesh Cricket Board’s commercial schedule includes a possible five-ODI Pakistan tour in May 2027, but no board has published exact dates and venues. A tentative month is not treated as a fixture.

Bangladesh won the latest meeting by 78 runs in Sylhet on 20 May 2026. That completed a 2-0 Test series sweep, two months after Bangladesh had also won the home ODI series 2-1.

The Pakistan cricket team schedule and Bangladesh cricket schedule carry the teams’ wider confirmed calendars. This page keeps their shared matches, results and format records together.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh head-to-head record

Pakistan lead all three senior men’s format records. Bangladesh, however, won the five most recent Tests and ODIs played between the teams in 2026.

Record cutoffs: Tests through 20 May 2026, ODIs through 15 March 2026 and T20Is through 25 September 2025. The table covers senior men’s internationals only. It excludes women’s cricket, A teams, age-group matches, warm-ups and an ODI scheduled for Karachi in April 2020 that was cancelled before play.

Latest Pakistan vs Bangladesh result

Bangladesh won the second Test in Sylhet by 78 runs on 20 May 2026. It followed a 104-run win in Dhaka, giving Bangladesh a 2-0 series victory.

The two Tests were part of the 2025-27 World Test Championship. They count in the championship table and the rivalry record for different purposes: the WTC page calculates cycle points, while this page keeps the complete Test history.

Bangladesh won both 2026 home series

Pakistan toured Bangladesh twice in the first half of 2026. Bangladesh won three of the five matches.

SeriesResultMatch sequence
Three ODIs, March 2026Bangladesh won 2-1Bangladesh by 8 wickets; Pakistan by 128 runs under DLS; Bangladesh by 11 runs
Two Tests, May 2026Bangladesh won 2-0Bangladesh by 104 runs; Bangladesh by 78 runs

These were separate tours and formats. The ODI result does not alter the Test record, and neither series creates a confirmed 2027 fixture.

The teams played seven T20Is in 2025

Pakistan won a three-match home series 3-0 in Lahore from 28 May to 1 June 2025. Bangladesh answered by winning its Dhaka series 2-1 in July, its first men’s T20I series victory over Pakistan.

The teams met again in Dubai during the Asia Cup on 25 September. Pakistan won by 11 runs and advanced to the final. That seventh meeting is why the current T20I total is 26 rather than the 25 shown by pages last updated before the match.

The Asia Cup winners history places that meeting within the wider tournament record. It does not treat an Asia Cup match as a bilateral series game.

Test record: Bangladesh changed the pattern in 2024-26

Pakistan won 12 of the first 13 Tests and the other was drawn. Bangladesh then won four in a row: both Tests in Pakistan in 2024 and both at home in 2026.

The 2024 result was Bangladesh’s first men’s Test series win over Pakistan. The 2026 sweep confirmed that it was no isolated result, but Pakistan still lead the full record 12-4 after 17 matches.

The first Test was played in Multan from 29 to 31 August 2001. Pakistan won by an innings and 264 runs. The Test cricket guide explains why a two-match series can produce a sweep, a draw or a level result without combining innings totals across games.

ODI record: Pakistan lead despite the recent series loss

Pakistan lead the ODI record 35-7 after 42 completed matches. The first was an Asia Cup match in Moratuwa on 31 March 1986, which Pakistan won by seven wickets.

Bangladesh’s 62-run victory at the 1999 World Cup in Northampton remains one of the defining early results. Bangladesh was still an Associate member, and the win came against a Test-playing opponent during its first men’s ODI World Cup.

Bangladesh added two more wins in March 2026. Pakistan won the middle ODI by 128 runs under DLS, but Bangladesh took the opener and decider to win the series 2-1. Their tournament histories are tracked separately in the Cricket World Cup winners list.

T20I record: why 25 is now a stale total

Pakistan lead 21-5 after 26 T20Is. The teams first played the format in Nairobi on 2 September 2007, when Pakistan won by 30 runs.

Some search results still show 25 matches and a 20-5 record. Those figures stop before Pakistan’s 11-run Asia Cup win on 25 September 2025. Adding that completed match produces the current 26-match, 21-5 total.

The T20 World Cup winners list records Pakistan’s 2009 title and the event’s other champions. Bilateral and Asia Cup wins are not world titles and remain separate here.

How this permanent page stays current

The URL remains /pakistan-vs-bangladesh/. A match enters the upcoming module only after the PCB, BCB, ICC or responsible tournament organizer confirms the teams and exact date. A Future Tours Programme month, rights notice or possible tournament draw is not enough.

After a match, its controlled record moves into Recent results once the official outcome is checked. Format totals are then updated with their own cutoff. The cancelled April 2020 Karachi ODI remains excluded because no match was played; it does not become a no-result merely because a scorecard shell exists.

Aliases such as PAK vs BAN, BAN vs PAK and Bangladesh vs Pakistan consolidate here. Future previews, legal viewing guides and recaps can attach to this entity and appear in its related feed. Pakistan Women vs Bangladesh Women remains a separate rivalry and is never mixed into the men’s figures above.
