Pakistan Cricket Team: Matches, Squad, Captains & Records

The Pakistan men’s cricket team represents Pakistan in Tests, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. The team code is PAK, and the Pakistan Cricket Board is its governing body. The Pakistan Super League hub covers the country’s franchise T20 competition. PSL teams are city-based franchises, so their matches, squads and titles are not part of Pakistan’s senior international record.

Pakistan’s next confirmed home ODI event is the 2026 tri-series with England and Sri Lanka. Salman Ali Agha stood in for Babar in the first Test at Headingley after Babar was injured during the warm-up match. The PCB’s announcement applied to that match; it did not replace Babar’s appointment for the tour.

Which Pakistan team does this page cover?

“Pakistan cricket team” can describe several different representative sides. This hub uses the phrase for the men’s senior international team unless a section says otherwise.

• Pakistan Women is the senior women’s international team. Its current schedule keeps the Women’s Asia Cup and Asian Games separate from men’s fixtures.
• Pakistan Shaheens is a development/A-team pathway. A Shaheens fixture is not automatically a senior Pakistan fixture.
• Pakistan U19 and other age groups have separate selections and competitions.
• Asian Games and other event-specific teams may use a different squad or captain even when their matches receive international status.

Keeping those teams separate prevents an A-team tour or youth tournament from appearing as the senior side’s next match.

Match dates and results come from official boards or organizers. Captain fields change only after an official appointment or a squad announcement names a new leader. Squads are always labelled by series or tournament, and ICC ranking positions carry a visible cutoff date.
